This is the blog I started when Carolyn died. I had to stop blogging under Henry and Carolyn Farkas Second Honeymoon Blog so this is where I continued blogging once I decided to continue blogging. Now there's a new blog that's a strange kind of memoir that's also a bunch of random essays rather than photos with short essays. That one is Henry Farkas Memoir Blog

This evening, we continued our musical experience during this road trip by attending a fully acoustic performance of Celtic music, actually Irish music, at BD Riley's Irish Pub. The top picture is Heather Gilmer. She's the daughter of one of Carolyn's friends from college. Heather is a civil engineer with the Texas Department of Transportation in Austin by day. By night, she's a Celtic fiddler (http://www.fiddlista.com/). My brother and I expressed interest in hearing her play if she had a gig. So she kindly invited four of her fellow Celtic musicians to join her at BD Riley's in order to entertain us, the other customers, and themselves. This was essentially a jam session that they held at the pub. They were quite good.
