The Body in the Mirror

My little shack in Los Angeles
Is furnished with a mirrored closet
And a mirrored wall system.
It came with the closet.
I selected the mirrored wall system.
Why did I do that?
OK, it makes the shack look bigger.
but it reflects, for the most part,
me.
67, massively obese,
radiation burns on
neck and upper chest.
Why did I pick mirrors?
I have to accept myself
as I am,
but I have to change
myself
if I can.
This sounds like a moment
for the serenity prayer,
but I'm not good at praying.
Unfortunately, what I
am good at
is eating.
